This project was very time consuming. I chose the artist, The Weekend and had to create his face out of words and phrases that relate back to him. Originally I had chosen a song and was going to use the lyrics as the face but I decided to use all of his albums and even his name to form what he looks like. I learned how to make shapes with words, how to create movement with words, and overall that words can create a face.

This was my final graphic design project of my senior year. This was a special and very cool project. This was a 3D project where we printed off out cereal boxes and made them into an actual box. I chose to do an off-brand version of Lucky Charms. there was a lot of focus on the typography of our title. I did a lot of research on it. I also had to make a mental checklist of everything that is a necessity on every cereal box and made sure I didn't miss anything. This project gave me the perfect amount of requirements with a balance of being creative and choosing what I wanted it to look like.
While completing this project, I decided to make a sketch to begin with therefore it would be easier to create all the necessary shapes. After starting to follow my sketch in Illustrator, I decided it was too complicated and I needed to simplify it. I got my inspiration from the game Animal Crossing, to get the simple shapes to create the face details. In order to make my animation, I had to move over to Photoshop and use the tweening tool. I added some pink clouds, and made my avatar wink.
This project had an aspect of advertising in it. I had to choose designs that were affiliated with the movie. I chose the "drink me" bottle and incorporated it with all the necessary information needed for the play. This project was very fun because we get a real sense of marketing since these were displayed around the school.
Here is my business card. I plan to use this card when I need to till further notice. I chose this as my logo because it is what I love to do the most. I find myself happiest when a picture turns out great. I succeed most when I take pictures. I am also looking to be a part time photographer in the future so I can still use this card later on instead of having to create a new card. The colors compilment each other in the logo and create exactly the aesthetic that I wanted. There isn't much I would change, I really like how this turned out. I wasn't as frustrated with this project as I have been with others. I think it was partially because I know what I am doing now in Adobe Illustrator.

I chose an image from National Geographic and attempted to recreate it using shaped and styles. The image on the left is the one I chose and the one on the right is my version of it. The sailboat was taken from the internet so it isn't my own creation. The different shade of the mountains work well. they create the illusion of how far the mountains go back. The clouds cover the mountains just perfectly to make it look real. I would change the shape of the island in the middle. I feel like I wasn't aware of certain tools that I could use to help me make this project a lot better. I really enjoyed this project because I liked trying recreate a picture instead of creating something from scratch.
This project was assigned to help us practice the types of tools so we could continue to get used to Adobe Illustrator. I worked with the curvature and pen tool to create the cup itself. This was the first project that I used a clipping mask to cut off all the access around the edges. I also focused on the shadows and highlights of the image. This project was all for class work and practice and was extremely helpful. Once I got the gist of all the tools I was able to work quicker and make it look pretty good. Granted there are some things I would change to make it just that much better. For example, the steam could be more realistic.
This is my Stylized Selfie. I used this picture of myself for many reasons, but mainly because I love the color of my shirt. I used Adobe Photoshop for the last time to complete this project. I like the symmetry of the mosaic patterns on the top and bottom and I used a monochrome approach to match the color of my shirt, since it is one of my favorite things about this picture. I like the look of color matching. I could have chose complementary colors because that is always pleasing to the eye. Overall the process was a little frustrating because there were so many masks overlapping each other. I actually had to completely restart once. I love using Photoshop because I've used it the most out of any software and I'm disappointed to not be working with it anymore. In the end I am super proud of how this project turned out. I went into it not liking the assignment because I didn't like the cartoony look but I ended up making it look how I wanted it to.
For my first project in graphic design I had to put myself in a fictional scenario like a dream. This project was a perfect project to start with. It allowed me to become familiar with elements in photoshop like quick match. The element of symmetry is at play in my project. With me being perfectly centered between the two landscapes. The reason I did my project in this way is because not only did I think it would look cool but it's like my two worlds colliding. I love both the city and the scenic nature places and if it was possible I would be in them at the same time. After I finished the project, I noticed that I wasn't blended into the background all that well. Next time I will go over the edge of the mask multiple times so it looks seamless. When I first started I knew exactly what I wanted to do and how it should look. Later, the more masks I added, the harder it got, and the more frustrated I got. In the end, my project turned out exactly how I wanted it to and I am proud of myself for my first project to turn out like this.
